Lambing Weekend

This weekend is an exciting, educational experience for the whole family. If you would like to do something entirely different with your children or grandchildren, bring them to Skagafjörður in May and try out lambing and other farm work.

Not far from the hotel, the farm Syðri-Hofdalir raises sheep, goats, chickens, cattle, horses, dogs and cats. The couple running the farm, Klara and Atli, together with their children, Friðrik Andri, Anýta Ýr and Trausti Helgi, receive guests and allow them the opportunity not only to watch farm chores but also to take part in them. You will stay at Hotel Varmahlíð, where a country feast will take place on Saturday evening.

This weekend package includes:

  • Two-day visit on the farm
  • Accommodation for two nights, with breakfast
  • All weekend meals

2010 prices:

Free for children (11 years and younger)
ISK 11,900 for ages 12 – 15
ISK 25,600 for adults, aged 16 and older
